I am a high school senior at a small, competitive parochial school. I have maintained above a 4.0 GPA and am on NHS and NEHS. I have been awarded the Cook County Sheriff’s Youth Service Medal of Honor. I have been a part of my school’s cross country and soccer teams for four years. I am also in Youth Inititiative, a leadership group at my school that works on various service projects and leadership opportunities. I am also an ambassador for my school in Roadrunner Club. They chose students that best represent the face of our school through Service, Scholarship, Spirit and Unity. I scored a 30 on my ACT (math: 29, english:29, writing:29, Reading: 32, SCience: 30) I have also taken all honors classes and AP courses. If there’s anything else you need to know let me know!! Thanks!!! :)

I’m not sure if CG admission works the same as West Point, Annapolis and AFA, but for those, you’d be in competition with other applicants from your Congressional district. The standards might be different for applicants from rural rather than urban districts. I’ve served on a congressman’s interview panel for applicants from our district; here, the deadline is in mid-fall and those interviews are held in December.

Theres no congressional nomination process for USCGA and applicants are grouped in a national, rather than regional pool. You’d probably get more help for chances/application info on the USCGA page.

Thanks so much!
