Chance me at Williams, CalBerkley, Cornell, and Wesleyan

<p>If the forums could please Chance me at getting into Williams primarily as well as Cal Berkley and Cornell. I might want to apply ED to Williams so keep that in mind for your judgement.</p>

<p>GPA(unweighted):3.95</p>

<p>SAT:2230</p>

<p>AP’s: Physics (5),US History(5), BC calc(5), Chem(4), Phycology(5), Government and Politics(4)</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars, Activities, and Awards:</p>

<p>Tech Crew for Plays, Musicals, ect. (Tech chief 2 years, 2013 halo award for best live sound, part of two award winning musicals musicals)</p>

<p>Founder and chief of Science Olympiad team at my school (state gold in Astronomy)</p>

<p>Amateur telescope maker (built/ground 10 in dobsonian scope from scratch) </p>

<p>4 years of track and field (captain senior year, 2 time regional competitor FCIAC)</p>

<p>Partners in science program, where a selective group of students attend lectures and visit labs at the worldwide research headquarters of boehringer ingelheim.</p>

<p>Did a two year summer internship at boehringer ingelheim as a chemistry assistant</p>

<p>Two time participant at State science fair ( second place honors and 1 time finalist)</p>

<p>Participant in 2013 Summer@brown where I took a class in astrophysics and cosmology</p>

<p>Avid participant of online learning</p>

<p>Converted thousands of dollars worth of old computing equipment to permanent folding machines for Stanford folding at home</p>

<p>Hope I haven’t missed anything but i would like to hear some opinions of wether or not i have a chance at getting into Williams, specifically applying towards their Astrophysics major which is comprised of around 5 kids per year.</p>

<p>You’re definitely a competitive applicant to all of these schools! I think the big thing with Williams is how outstanding your essays are since it’s a huge portion of their application process. Do you have any SAT II test scores?</p>

<p>I knew I had forgotten something! The SAT II’s i plan to report are: Physics(780), math II (760), AP US History (740). I didn’t realize until now that they were declining uniformly. :)</p>

<p>Williams and Cornell are low reaches but they are reaches for everyone.</p>

<p>You definitely have the stats for all these schools and you have some really interesting ECs especially with your science related activities.</p>

<p>Berkeley is definitely a match.</p>

<p>I’m not too familiar with williams and berkely so I’ll hold off on making opinions on those, but cornell is definitely a reality. I personally know a friend who made cornell last year, and he had similar GPA and test scores as you. But since your ECs are so much more impressive, I think you’ll have great chance at cornell. <p>Cornell is definitely a match and I think Williams ED would be a match, then you are not a threat to them to turn them down. You have great ECs.</p>
