I know I’m kind of weird with my EC’s but I just do things I have passion for, I want to apply ED1 which my parents support, I’m First Gen and from New York, let me know what you think (or any recommendations)
Are you full pay, or are you applying for financial aid? If you are full pay, can your parents afford this without taking on debt?
What do you intend to do with a degree in political science or international relations (or English or psychology)? Is law school likely down the road? Can your parents afford to pay for this after first paying for BU?
I know someone who got in RD with similar stats. They however submitted SAT scores which were pretty good, and were full pay. They ended up going somewhere else.
Apply and see. It please have your other applications submitted as well. If you get accepted to BU in the ED round, you can withdraw any acceptances or pending applications.
Good luck on that SAT…why such a late date for taking it?
I have spoken to them about this! We live quite comfortably and my parents are able to take on these finances so I am not in debt but I do plan to pay them, I have majors that can apply to law school if I choose so down the road though I am not 100% currently
If you are full pay and if your family is comfortable with this, then I think that your chances are pretty good.
However IMHO it is not a safety. I think that you should also make sure that you apply to at least one and preferably two safeties. Whether you should apply to other schools (in addition to BU and two safeties) will depend upon how you feel about your safeties.
