I have 3 college credits already from a class I took on weekends at my local community college, spending 2 weeks in the summer at roger williams university as well.
Essay should be really good, I have a couple friends from Brown who are putting in their input

Recommendations should be good as well

Already took two college visits there this year and they have it marked down

If I left anything out let me know, thanks in advance.

BU is a high match - if you upped your SAT score to perhaps a ~1950, I’d say you have more than a decent shot. If you’re looking towards schools in Boston of a similar caliber, perhaps try considering Emmanuel as well?

The thing about BU is that they LOVE when students show genuine interest in their school - so if you take the time to actually tour the school, get an interview, go to the different events, etc. they take notice and it thus increases your chances of getting in.

Yeah, I talked with the head of admissions a bit after one tour and he told me the same thing. The only problem with that is boston is 2 hours away, but thats why I plan my visits up to my aunt in Mass accordingly. Another question I have although not really for this forum is does a big gap between average and my sat score factor in?

Dr. Jorge Alvarez High School SAT average is about 1150, district average is around 1350 and Rhode Island average is 1480. The diagnostic I took I got a 1850 and after another month of tutoring it should be up another hundred, the reason I ask this is because I was also looking at Tufts and Brown which both seem like a crapshoot to me but I would like to get in if possible.
