<p>Hi there,
I am currently a freshman at Wake Forest University seeking to transfer into either Brown or Carnegie Mellon’s Computer Science programs.</p>
<p>My stats are as follows:
HS GPA: 3.6
College GPA:3.7 - Deans List
ACT: 30
Essays - 8.5/10
Eagle Scout</p>
<p>I have started my own club at Wake (Ski & Snowboard), am involved in research in Computer Science at the school, and currently work with a boy scout troop outside of Wake as a volunteer.</p>
<p>In high school, I attended two and a half years in Switzerland and two and a half years in the US. In both schools I started, ran, and held offices in a number of positions.</p>
<p>Additionally I have about 9 years of continuous community service with the missionaries of charity at a young age.</p>
<p>My reason for transferring is that: Wake’s CS program does not have what I am looking for as far as specialties (read: robotics), I would like to attend a more prestigious CS school and one which has an engineering department, and I would like to go to a school in a city.</p>
<p>Let me know if I have a realistic shot of if I should look to other places. Thanks.</p>
