Chance me: BYU

I want to transfer to BYU and since I have less than 24 credit hours, (I’ve been at Kennesaw State for only a semester so far), I’ll have to send my high school transcript and my SAT scores. The thing is my SAT score isn’t that good, but my high school and college grades are.

Highest SAT score - 1000 (2 part)

  • 500 on both

High School GPA - 3.8 (UW)

College GPA - 3.7 (UW)

Extracurriculars -

  • Marching Band (High school and college)
  • Symphony Band (played trombone for 8 years now)
  • ~200 hours of volunteering
  • Beta Club
  • Debate team
  • Model UN - It’s a mock UN session where we write resolution papers and work with other people (delegates from other countries) and find a working resolution. Held in Atlanta every year, it’s called SRMUN.
  • Top 10% in my class
  • Tech support job at KSU

Awards - (Not sure if this is weighed at all)

  • won “Most Kind-Hearted” at my college’s summer program
  • won “Most Talented” in high school
  • HOPE scholar

Other Info -

  • Non-LDS
  • Georgia resident
  • Electrical Engineering major

Anyone? No? Ok

Why do you want to transfer to BYU? Have you obtained an ecclesiastical endorsement?

do they require SAT to transfer?. If so, just try to get 1200 range in the SAT and you are almost in. Otherwise, I will say that it is quite difficult with that score.

Are you LDS? Do you have your pastor’s letter secured?
