Chance Me! Chem Major

Hi I’m a senior obviously and I applied to the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences as a Chem major in the specialized curriculum. I was wondering how selective is the program and if I had a chance.

Illinois resident

I have a 22 on my ACT my highest subscores are

English: 22
Math: 25
Reading: 23
Science: 24

My UW GPA is 3.92
My Weighted is 5.00
My class rank is 3/323

In my essays I talked about traveling and how it was more about learning about a different culture rather than just laying down on a sunny beach and relaxing. In my other essay about our major i wrote about my lab research position at Uchicago.

Do I have a chance? At the very least may i be considered for DGS? I’m really nervous! Please let me know what you think

That ACT is really going to hurt you. You have a decent shot at it, but like all college applications, there are no guarantees.

I would say ACT score puts you at a reach, even though rank and GPA are impressive.
