Chance Me: CO resident, 3.37 UW; 34 ACT; English on Pre-Med track

Excellent points.

CU Boulder is a safety in this situation.

Use your high school’s Naviance or Scoir to look at chances for other colleges.

I would take a moment to step back and look at the big picture from a cost perspective, particularly about funding med school. If they are prepared to full pay a private undergrad, and then full pay med school, that’s one thing, but if they would not fully fund med school after full paying private undergrad, but would be willing to pay all or part of med school following a less-expensive undergrad, then I’d take a hard look at cost. The 34 could help with merit at some mid size privates, probably in the back half of the top 100, if you are not thrilled about attending a state flagship.

Regardless, looking at the list, maybe it would be helpful if you provided more details on what you are looking for in a university. Premed, full pay, mid-size or larger, what else? What do you love about UChicago?
