interview - went really really well!
essays - I like them, I love my common app essay and I did the “unscientific method” prompt.

This is a very general view, but think I have a shot :/?

You have a great shot, and if you do well on the essays, you have a great chance of acceptance. However, do realize that they are not accepting that big of Class of 2016 because the Class of 2015 is simply too big right now (due to the highest-ever yield).

Thanks! Ugh, is that the truth!? That stinks so much
uchicago is one of my top choices, id hate to not be accepted because there are too many people applying! Id rather be denied for something like my sat score! But, still, thanks for that bit of info :)

All your test scores and grades make a competitive candidate. Just make sure your essays are excellent and your odds are respectable.

Thanks! =) I’ll work extra hard on my essays!

I just have a quick question regarding your interview.

Mine is scheduled for Tuesday and I got a confirmation email about it, but haven’t heard anything else. Did you get something telling you where to go and what to do before you got to campus or what? I’m starting to freak out a little bit.

Otherwise, what was your interview like? I’m excited about mine. :)

Zach - Just go to the admissions officer 10 minutes prior to your interview. The student at the front desk will help you. I did a tour and information session prior to my interview.

The interview is fun, and very informal. Wear something nice, mind you, I wore a shirt/tie/pants, but I’m not sure if that’s necessary. Khaki’s and a polo should work. But, be prepared to talk about yourself, interests, what you want in UChicago, that kind of stuff!
