At the moment, my SAT scores are:
Math - 590
Critical Reading - 570
Writing - 600
Also, as of last year (junior year) my GPA is a 2.9 or 3.0. I’ve been on the cross country and golf team for two years. Also I’ve done a ton of community service, but I honestly cannot say how many hours because I am not 100% sure. I plan on applying to mostly in state schools because I am a New York resident, but out of state schools interest me as well. I want someone’s opinion on the following colleges that I plan on applying to. They are:

The University of Arizona

Boston University

Colorado State University

Cornell University

Drexel University

University of Massachusetts Amherst

Ohio University

Pennsylvania State University

SUNY Canton

SUNY ESF

SUNY Fredonia

SUNY Oswego

University at Buffalo

Widener University

Here is what I think about the following schools, and I have done a lot of research because my son is applying this year and has about the same stats as you do.

The University of Arizona - match. They only use SAT scores for scholarship and honors
college decisions.
Boston University - big reach. My D goes there. If you really are interested in BU, you should apply to the College of General Studies for your best chance of getting accepted.
Colorado State University - low reach. Write a good essay and it will help.
Cornell University - huge reach
Drexel University - low reach
University of Massachusetts Amherst - reach
Ohio University - match
Pennsylvania State University - reach
SUNY Canton
SUNY ESF
SUNY Fredonia
SUNY Oswego
University at Buffalo
Widener University

I don’t know anything about the schools I didn’t comment on. Good luck!

I was thinking of applying to Arizona State University, but I decided to just apply to one Arizona school, a.k.a The University of Arizona, in order to keep my parents from going insane.

Cornell is going to be your toughest battle because of your gpa while Drexel and Boston U are reaches to a lesser degree. Try to show an upward trend in your grades, write some insightful essays, and get good recommendations; these will all strengthen your chances. Chance me? Chance an AA Female for Elite Schools Updated Stats. <—Also include Yale with the other chance schools

thank you Sawdust and MorganSimone. I really need someone to chance me on SUNY ESF (SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry). And, by the way, I decided to take Drexel University off of my list and apply to James Madison University instead. So, if someone believes that I am wrong in my change, please inform me.

I ran into some more colleges. I decided that I also want to apply to a school in North Carolina. Please someone chance me for the UNC schools and NC State. By the way, to save time for any/everyone, I plan on studying veterinary medicine. I want to apply to no more than two North Carolina colleges. Thank you.
