When the parents get involved, I am sure the OP list will look more like AustenNut’s post. UT Austin will be a big reach due to the 6% class rank rule. I would focus on U of Houston with in-state tuition and probably additional merit. OP should apply to Wharton, but it is basically low single digit % chance, and who knows how the aid will work for international student.

Maybe not. A lot of international parents only know the famous names, especially if this is their first child to go to college.

Given the entrepreneurial desires, it might behoove OP to investigate Houston more as a backup and even ask to speak to student ambassadors.

Why does Princeton Review rate them tops year after year, a top two 16 of 18 years ? What has the program delivered in that start up sector ?

It’s certain to be budget friendly vs NPCs which may or may not come true after IDOC.

So it’s great to have one in the back pocket just in case.

Hey, there’s nothing more entrepreneurial than trying to produce an independent film.
