Chance Me! Finance, test optional, 4.0 UW GPA, and ranked 1/490 EA UW Madison

Hey everyone I was wondering how cooked I am for admission to the business school at UW Madison as a finance major. Here are my stats:

4.0/4.0 UW GPA (school doesn’t do weighted)

1/490 Class Rank

MN Resident

Test Optional

19 dual enrollment classes (at least half are from UMN PSEO), totaling to probably just above 60 college credits after graduation.

1 AP Calc AB (Test: Score 5)

My ECS are pretty mid. For my main ECs, I have 2 part-time jobs, NHS Executive, Tutoring, Inclusivity Club, Stock Trading, and BPA, starting this year. So really only 2 leadership positions. And then I do have some nursing home volunteering, I go to the gym, and I go to church.

Senior year classes (all DE): Calc 2, Macroeconomics, Writing, Statistics, Marketing (contingent on registration), Accounting (contingent on registration), Excel (contingent on registration), and Microeconomics (contingent on registration).

LORs from AP Calc AB teacher, and CIS General Chem 1 and 2 teacher

Let me know what you think, because I honestly can’t see myself going anywhere else. Am I likely to be deferred, especially since I am test optional and from MN?

Side note for anyone wondering, my ACT score was a 26, but my stem score was a 30. I just can’t do the reading section well.

Let me know if more information would be helpful.

Obviously, you are a strong student - so you have solid odds - but with 54% submitting test scores last year, that’s your hick up.

Can you practice on reading?

I suspect you get in but - that would be your hiccup as you know.

Best of luck.
