looking to major in engineering

Your rankings are generally correct. As it stands, you will almost definitely be accepted into UCI, UCSD, and UCLA. Consider applying to UCB.

Your course-load looks pretty strong, but your SAT isn’t high enough for Stanford/Brown/Harvard/UPenn. If you can maintain a 4.0 UW GPA with AP courses then you should be able to score 2200+ on the SAT.

I see extra-curriculars but not passion. Find what you love and excel in it. (It’s not too late.)

I’m not sure I understand your college list. Harvard, Brown, and Penn are not traditionally known for the strength of their engineering programs. Do you have reasons for including them in your list?

It’s “Johns Hopkins,” not “John Hopkins.” This may sound persnickety, but that’s not the kind of thing you want to misspell in a college essay.

I really want to experience the East Coast. Also those schools may not technically have the best Engineering schools but through tours and visits their concentrations and education system intrigues me. I am also not sure on majoring in Engineering and am still considering other options such as nursing since I am pursuing a doctorate in pediatrics.
