I disagree with @cappex I think UCLA,UCSD are reaches as well UC davis is a low reach, SB and Irvine are matches and riverside merced and santa cruz are safeties. But how is your UC GPA higher than your weighted GPA
Really it will depend on their major. CA resident and UC GPA will help. If we are talking Engineering then yes, but if we are talking liberal arts mine is accurate.
@cappex you know UClA’s average gpa in the school of arts and sciences is like an unweighted 3.8 and a weighted 4.5 so i think unlikely for LA unless the SAT is brought up to like a 2150
This GPA does not include any extra grade points for honors courses. The maximum value possible is 4.00.

@cappex but UC looks at weighted gpa more which is a 4.4 for admits and he’s at a 4.1 and his SAT is at a 1970 which is barely above the 25th percentile for admits so why do you think he’ll get in with a below average GPA and SAT
How is your UC GPA higher than your fully weighted GPA? I think you miscalculated your UC GPA. All the UCs except UCB and UCLA use the UC GPA for admissions purposes.
High match for UW as an OOS applicant. SAT is fine (between 50th and 75th percentiles), but unweighted GPA is below the 2014 average of 3.76, and these numbers have been getting higher every year. Could go either way. Good luck!
