not much difference, waitlisted is basically a nicer rejection. “You were a great applicant and up to our standards, but not good enough compared to others”

I think I’ll go to SoCal, and apply to Andover and Exeter one more time. If I don’t get in, I guess andover and exeter aren’t for me.
