Chance me for Andover

I am a Freshman at an ISL school and am applying for the 10th Grade at Andover, and would love to hear what you guys think of my resume:

Grades:All honors classes, 4 A’s, 2 B’s. One class is a sophomore math class which is also honors.

Extra Curriculars:
-Mass Ensemble. I have been playing clarinet for 7 years and alto and tenor saxophone for 5 years. I sent in two recordings on clarinet and alto and I felt they were pretty good. I played in my school’s jazz band also.
-Boy Scouts: Patrol Leader, Den Chief, Eagle Scout pending review. LOTS of community service

-ISEE: 99 Verbal, 90 Reading Comprehension, 98 Quantitative Reasoning, 98 Mathematics Achievement. Essay was decent, but didn’t jump off the page.

Application:
-Recommendations: I have no idea, but I have a good relationship with my teachers that wrote them.
-Relatively good short answers and essay

I am Irish. I don’t know if that will have any effect, good or bad.

I have read other resumes on here and they appear to be the second coming of Jesus lol, but I was just wondering if any of you could provide some insight that will hold me over until acceptance/denial time.

You should have good chance to get in. Good Luck!

Well I Think your definately in the running! I mean, they can’t ONLY take people who are a’s you put it, “the second coming of Jesus!” your community service and boy scouts work will help you also. I know that all the ISL schools I can think of off the top of my head are very good (but I assume you don’t go to sps or Groton)
Really it’s a crapshoot at all the gladchemms schools because they have to build the class and such. But you seem to be a strong candidate. However the fact that you don’t play sports may hurt you

Oh my bad. I left out that I play football and lacrosse. I have been playing each 9 years now. I play club lacrosse every summer for Emass. Thank you so much for the replies

Could others reading this post also tell me what you think, please? I see that it is getting a fair amount of views. How do my sports affect my application?

Sports won’t have too much effect on admission unless someone is picked for the sports team of the school. It will be one of the factor. The admission is not to judge good or bad but fit or not. They have their own taste and they’ll find who they like to have. It seems to me that short and long essay will be also important.
