Please suggest a couple schools that I could look at that accept these stats:
State: PA
GPA Unweighted: 3.39
SAT: 1450, Plan to take it again and hit 1500+. Still need to take subject tests.
Total APs taken (not including senior year): 10
Honors taken: 5
AP Scores: AP Bio (3), APUSH (4), Still need to take AP Chem, AP Calc BC, AP Lang&Comp, AP Econ, AP US Gov; should get 4-5 on all of these
Extra Curriculars: Model UN (2 yrs), DECA (2 yrs), Technology Student Association (3 yrs, President 1 yr, Officer other two, State qualifier), Volunteer hours at neuroscience research lab
Planning on launching a non profit service in my city using technology to help poorer people, already planned just needs to be done soon over the summer.
Major: interested in neuroscience/behavioral biology but I am into business and finance as well
Should add that I participated in a community leadership service raising money for Bhutanese Refugees in the city by creating and selling hand-made goods.
I won a community leadership recognition award for this
GPA is a bit low unweighted. Is your weighted any higher, and how does it put you in class rank? I think that, as of now, you’re a match with Rutgers and Pitt.
If you are open to the Midwest, you would easily get into University of Missouri, and they have Mark Twain scholarship that brings OOS tuition to in state levels. Also, you can become a MO resident.
@thuggin
Improve you’re SAT to at least 1500. Although 1550 is needed in my opinion. Apply to Oxford at Emory, research it but basically Emory’s JUCO that is slightly easier to get into.
Apply RD only to Georgia tech, EA is more difficult.
If you get above 1500 then apply ED1 to both Emory and Oxford@Emory, if not apply ED1 to Case or BU.
