You may need to explain Duke of Edinburgh Silver on your commonapp but everything else is excellent.
Nevertheless…
Your chances are the same as all internationals who are qualified and need aid, ie., about 3%. Could be 5% if your essays are great. All these schools are lottery schools.
80% qualified students are turned down - and you’re international, meaning your odds are way lower than that.
Because you’re low-income, you can’t apply to any UC. Cost of attendance is more than your parents earn in a year and there’s no financial aid.
At a minimum, apply to Amherst - and if you apply ED, you may have good odds since they’re need-blind.
If you can check Economics + Arabic, you’d have a small boost at some top schools (like Tufts and JHU).
However, if you want to study in the US, you can get excellent packages at the honors colleges of universities such as Miami-Ohio, Temple Honors, USC-Columbia Honors, etc. The learning conditions are truly excellent and the perks make those stand out compared to Canadian universities.
