Chance me for Berkeley?

Applied: Berkeley, UCSB, UCSD, UCSC, UC Davis, U Michigan, CU Boulder, U Oregon
Accepted early: U Michigan, CU Boulder ($), U Oregon ($)

Hi wondering if someone could chance me for Berkeley.

Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian
Location: CA, private school - no class ranking
GPA: 4.12 weighted, 3.8 unweighted
ACT: 31 composite
SAT subject tests: math 2-740, chem-630, lit-640
APs: Took literature and chem last year, taking 2D design, calculus AB, and statistics this year

Activities: I mainly do robotics and volunteering at the hospital. I do have leadership at the hospital and 300+ hours. I spend about 10 hrs/wk in robotics.

Got asked for letters of rec (probably pretty good) and got the email about the leadership award scholarship

Thanks!

Berkeley kinda depends on what major you applied for. If you did EECS, it might be more difficult than another major. Regardless, your grades and ACT score fall within the average UCB acceptance criteria so you have a good shot.

Good luck and chance me too! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19271676#Comment_19271676

I applied undeclared to Letters & Science - think that gives me a better shot?

Berkeley L&S seems to be within reach. But your ACT and SAT lit scores might make it hard for you. Best of luck!

Don’t submit your SAT 2 score (maybe expect Math 2 but I think it is too late for all of this). Other than that, you have a good chance due to your good unweighted gpa if you wrote good essays.

I think you have a decent chance at admission. I would agree sending your SAT IIs would hurt more than it would help. Your ACT looks a bit low for Berkeley but your unweighted gpa and the fact that you’re in state will help. Best of luck!
