<p>Okay so I’m planning on applying in schools in the Northeast and New England, as an international student.</p>
<p>Background:Southeastern Europe(from Macedonia)
School: Public
College Class Year: 2014
High School: Public school
sends a lot of students to private colleges in the country, rarely out of the country.
Also, I’m not sure if this should be an advantage, but its an Economics and Law school, so all our subjects are focused around those areas, and even though it doesn’t offer any AP or Honors classes, all the textbooks are college level (the same ones that are used in economics and law colleges in the country).</p>

<p>GPA: 4.00 (Here the highest grade is 5, and its all I’ve been getting in any subject at school for the past four years)
Ranks: school doesn’t rank but I’d be in the top 10% if it did.</p>
<p>SAT: I’m taking the October test (tomorrow yikes!) and will be taking German w listening and Math I Subject Tests in November. So far on the practice tests I’ve been getting around 2000ish points, but I’m hoping to raise my score by december (taking SATs then again).</p>
<p>ECs and some things worth mentioning:
-Member of class council for 3 years, class president in senior year
-School Youth organization: active member in first year, secretary in second year, vice-president in third year and finally co-president in senior year (as of this year there’s presidency of three in the youth org, previous years has been just one). Organizing events, fundraisers, etc.
-EVS (European Voluntary Service) - trainings, seminars, foreign youth exchanges.
- Journalist in a youth magazine in three languages in collaboration with foreign volunteers
- President of the Youth association of high school youth organizations of Macedonia (head of the organization are 5 students that organize events, coordinate, contact schools etc. As part of the things this organization does is organize a series of sports and other competitions at the end of year for all the high schools to compete. We’re talking 50,000+ students members.)
- Ecology club assistant-coordinator
- Red cross
- Don’t know where i would put this, if I should at all, but another fun activity I love doing is fire dancing (poi-dancing to be more precise).
- Have done freelance graphic design work for the past few years (I’m really into graphic design)</p>
<p>Recs: Getting two from professors that have been teaching me for four years and know me pretty well, I’ve worked on different projects with them, one from the school counselor(I swear I spend more time in her office than she does haha) she knows me pretty well too, and I’m not sure if I should get a rec from the principal of the school? Also, other letters I could get from the person in charge of the Volunteers Centre where I’m a member for over a year, and from a reporter whom I’ve worked with several different times.</p>
