What is your rigor - meaning what level of math did you get to, besides stats. Did you take Calculus?.
Are 3 APs only because that’s what you took or your school offers few?
How high in Social Science how many years of foreign language, how many lab sciences did you take?
Business or business related - just to make sure we’re on the same page, Econ is not business. Many use as a substitute, but it’s an entirely different academic set - including the electives, etc.
Will do full pay if necessary You’re EDing to BC. So you are committing to paying over $90K a year, potentially encroaching on $100K.
Just making sure you understand the signifcance.
Can give you more feedback after I learn more about you.
For someone who sees OP as a slam dunk at BC, I would wonder if they know what the transcript looks like with the 3.83. That person must also think these activities are well above average for kids who go to top 50 schools.
If we uncover some missing facts, the variation should be on how we perceive the things that are up to the evaluator. We know that a 35 is very strong for BC, but what about the rest?
i think a 3.83 UW is still reasonable for BC ED although i am not 100% sure about CSOM which is a bit more competitive than the other schools. the 35 ACT is strong. the ECs are adequate but not compelling - there is a strong vibe for service-oriented ECs (in line with the Jesuit mission)at BC that should be drawn out in the essays if the applicant took the plunge to apply. i think the grades/test scores are good enough, but the rest of the picture needs to be filled in so i would give it a 50/50 chance at ED (which is still above the published 30% ED acceptance rate).
Yes, the ACT is strong. The problem is that BC doesn’t consider standardized test scores to be an important factor in admissions. The gpa is far more important and I don’t know that this applicant’s gpa will stand out at a school as selective as BC.
