Hi,
I applied Bryn mawr for ED2 with efc 12k but recently have changed to 15k.
Applied for CS major.
Here is my profile
UW:3.81/4, SAT opt
extracurriculars:

  • president of some club- NGO
    *cofunder of NYA -NGO
  • vice president of computer club
  • cofounded a marketing company, also media coordinator
    -founder of community service club, done many works
  • president of robotics club Honors:
    National web design first Maths olympiad intra-school
    Duke of Edinburgh bronze-intl
    Student of year
    Unweighted gpa 12:3.80 11:3.75 10:4 9:3.95
    LORs from 2 teacher: English,Biology
    Essay 8:/10,
    optional why que- did research and talked about specific courses taught by specific professor.
    Superpower: talked about the lack of opportunities in my country due to which people tend to choose the wrong path by talking about one of my neighbor’s stories (illegal immigration) and talked about How I am concerned about this and did things like providing opportunities through ough the clubs and training … But I’m not sure about this as someone told me it’s a big thing to write about…and suggested to not talk about this but I took the challenge and did. But I’m nervous now… Can you please rate my profile?

So you have two things going against.

  1. BM, at least what I can find (not on their website), is need aware - so the fact that you have so much need could impact their decision. Doesn’t mean it will but it could.

  2. 85%, per the Common Data Set, submitted a test.

I don’t want to depress you but I’d say from that, the odds aren’t great.

But you have a nice story and I wish you look.

But have Plan B just in case.
