<p>I’m currently a high school Junior.</p>

<p>GPA uw: 3.9
PSAT: 1790 (terrible score, but I’m studying; going to take SAT & ACT this year)</p>

<p>EC’s:
martial arts (6.5 years and have 2nd Degree Black Belt)
soccer training (4 years)
JV soccer freshmen year
2 volunteer clubs
member of school literary magazine club (possible editor; I’m waiting for news on this)
published in school magazine</p>

<p>Work Exp:
Marketing Intern for software company (summer after sophomore year)
Assistant Coach (2 week day camp)</p>

<p>Volunteer Service:
Soccer coach assistant
Martial arts weapon class - instructor’s assistant</p>

<p>Hobbies: (should I even bother putting these up? Do colleges care?)
creative writing (4 years)

<p>I plan to volunteer a lot this summer and take one or two AP’s next year.</p>

<p>I’d like to get into Santa Clara, Santa Barbara, or Berkeley. Chances for other CA schools are very much appreciated, as well as advice on how to improve.</p>

<p>You’ve got a pretty good chance at Santa Barbara (same with Santa Clara), but you’ll need to improve your actual SAT score by a bit for a decent chance at Berkeley. </p>

<p>Also, your work on fanfiction could make for a funny college app essay. So yes, to an extent, hobbies count.</p>
