What can I do to increase my chances?
Nothing really, beyond putting in the strongest app you can. What is your approximate class rank? (Even if your school doesn’t rank, I’m sure you roughly know where you fall relative to your peers.)
Your HS counselor is the best person to talk with about your chances and how best to present yourself as an applicant in the strongest way possible. You are paying for their help, so use their experience as much as you can.
