Hi! I am a current senior applying to a variety of selective schools. I already EAed to Princeton, and am applying to other Ivies such as Columbia, Yale, and Brown. I’m also applying to schools such as Northwestern, Amherst, Pomona, UC Berkeley, Rice, and Emory. I already have a safety school that I was accepted to. I’m applying as a biology major.
Here are my stats:
SAT: 1570 (2nd attempt)
ACT: 35 (1st attempt)
GPA W: 5.24 UW: 3.85
Rank: 4 of around 760
Subject Tests: Math II-790, Lit-680
I have taken 16 AP classes throughout high school and am a National AP Scholars Award and National Merit Semifinalist. I have national writing awards as well, and consider my essays strong. My extracurriculars are diverse, though not extremely strong. However, I’m concerned about my subject test scores, especially in Lit. I made the mistake of directly sending it to some colleges already, and I know that a score in the 600s won’t look too good for such selective colleges like the ones I’m applying for. Will this significantly hurt my chances? I did take it another time and got a 720. Would it be better if I sent that in too, or will it just reaffirm that I didn’t do too well on the test?
Please chance me. Thanks!
