Hello, Cornell is very much a reach school for me, and I was wondering how likely it would be for me to be accepted into CALS for Animal Science with these stats? I know that it is a really competitive major, and want to know if I have any sort of realistic chance. Thanks!

Definitely a reach for you, but your HOSA and other animal/vet ECs are a plus, since Cornell CALS looks for fit for the major. As you know, your ACT is within range, but weighted GPA seems low - maybe due to taking course online instead of classroom? Also, did you take any SAT subject tests?
Anyway, try to relax and focus on the rest of your senior year – easier said than done, I know, but if you applied to a range of colleges, you will be fine!!
Cornell CALs is not a reach for you based on stats alone. While Cornell in general is an extremely selective school, your stats are in line with most applicants that are accepted. The key will be your essays. Like most schools within Cornell your essays will be looked at very closely so if you haven’t applied make sure to really spend time crafting a “why” CALs essay.
If you are a junior and you apply ED, you are a competitive applicant for sure. Focus on writing amazing essays, especially the Cornell supplement
Hi! I am a frshamn in high school currently and I am planning out my high school career> I wanted to know a couple of things, the first about your Animal Welfare and Sciences Club. What activited do you do because I want to start an animal club but I dont know what we would do in it and if people would even join. Also I wanted to know how you got involved in all of the honors activites you listed. Are those only in your state/city or can I get involved?
