<p>Hometown: Reno, Nevada (underrepresented state)
School: extremely small private school, class size about 26 </p>

<p>SAT: CR 670 Math 680 Writing 790 Composite 2140 (probably retaking in the fall)
ACT and SAT II’s haven’t come out yet…will probably send in ACT if better than SAT.</p>

<p>ECs:
OBOE! Principal oboe/english horn in a variety of different local and state orchestras and band.
Debate: 2011 Nevada Lincoln-Douglas Debate State Champion, team captain, been doing it for four years.
Community Service: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada
Swimming: 3 years</p>

<p>There are other extracurriculars I do, but I think it’s a bit boring to list all of them for everyone, especially since oboe and debate are the two I’m most committed to and the ones i’ll be focusing on to show to colleges. </p>

<p>Cornell is my top choice. I’m hoping to major in chemical engineering, will therefore be applying directly into engineering.
Please, if anyone has any comments or suggestions for how on track I am, chance me!</p>

<p>GPA? And SAT IIs will make a difference. Otherwise I would recommend maybe taking the SAT I again? Your writing score is great but the CR and M could use some work. Other wise I really like the oboe bit.</p>

<p>Assuming your SAT I score goes up and your GPA is good I’d say solid chance.</p>
