Chance me for Cornell ED (international, Indian)

nah planning to do so in RD. BTW chance me… @Iridiscence

@retro-rally I do not have the exact details regarding both of their ecs and stats.
I know one of them had gone to CERN for a research project and he did some project with a physicist in a local university. However, he has very poor stats(1400-ish SAT) and not good grades. I do not have any idea regarding the stats or ecs of the second person - haven’t really spoken about that with him.

@akcha1801 Did you get in? I was deferred

@Iridiscence I was straight up rejected - very disappointed. Where all else are you planning to apply? Also, both the people I knew applying to Cornell got rejected - I guess there were many stronger applicants in our region.

@akcha1801 I’m planning to apply to Brown, Dartmouth, Purdue, Texas A&M. What about you?

@Iridiscence I don’t know, really beginning to doubt whether my credentials are good for these top schools. My plan was to further apply to Stanford, Duke, NYU, UIUC, GTech, and CMU. All are very tough CS schools - apart from probably UIUC - but I don’t want to study at any random CS school - just hoping I get into anyone. All the best for your rest applications - hope you get into an amazing school and achieve your dreams.

@akcha1801 Believe me, your credentials are startling. I am disheartened after the deferral too, but I think we should chanelise our energy towards bettering our RD apps. Best of luck! You’ll surely get into an amazing school.

@Iridiscence thank you for those kind words. All the best with all your RD applications

@Iridiscence i think you will be accepted into Cornell eventually. I spoke to my counselor - she said that the acceptances into engineering streams have been majorly female students. Hoping for the best!
