Applying to College of Arts and Sciences for a major in Psychology
Extracurriculars:
-NHS member for 3 yrs- Committee President
-TSA member for 4 yrs. Went up to national competition
-School Ambassador
-Church Youth Group officer
-Provided my voice for television promos
-Competed in PASF TAMOAS
-I was a mentor for freshman
-I did a couple other things but these are some of the more significant ones
I don’t think that we can say much other than you are typical of the students that they accept, and you are also typical of the students that they reject. I think that your chances are decent but well less than 50%. As such, I would say apply, but definitely put significant effort in considering and applying to safeties.
You have solid extracurriculars and have clearly challenged yourself, but your SAT is a little low. I feel like I’d need more information to chance you to the best of my ability (AP scores, awards, ethnicity, essays, etc.). I agree with the above commenter that your chances of getting in are less than 50%, but I still think you have a solid chance (like 40%) depending on the other things you didn’t mention. Good luck
