Would be applying for comp sci/engineering

  1. Dad has legacy and sister attends(not as strong of a student as her)
  2. Competitive top private school in North East
  3. 3.6 GPA BUT, I had a bad freshman year and have gotten mostly As during 10th and 11th grade. School doesn’t send GPA or rank.
  4. 34 ACT(35, 35 ,33, 34), 800 MATH 2, Taking Bio sometime
  5. Take computer science classes at local Ivy League(don’t know if that matters?)
  6. Research over summer on AI/ML with a professor from said college ^
  7. Co-head of Comp Sci Club and Science Olympiad
  8. Eagle Scout
  9. Engineer/Programmer in a collaboration between school and university that will send a satellite to space
  10. Will have good recs from math and comp sci teacher
  11. Will make sure to write great essays that shows my passion for the school
  12. no FA
  13. Non-URM
  14. Play squash and tennis(not at collegiate level though)

I think you have a solid chance ED–altho your GPA is on the lower side of things–but is forgivable considering upward trend+legacy.

Start your essays early and try to portray ur ECs in a unique fashion

Thanks, I greatly regret my grades in 9th grade but I really learned from them.

Will your hs send a transcript with grades? What matters is which classes got the lower grades.
