My freshman and sophomore year I had audio processing disorder, which made it difficult for me to process the information when a teacher would lecture. Not until my junior year did guidance, my teachers, and myself create a system where I could record what the teachers said in class and re-listen to it whenever I desired. This helped a lot because at the end of the first semester of my junior year I had around a 4.0 GPA, but then my father was diagnosed with cancer and spent the remaining months of my junior year in and out of the hospital. Which, sadly, greatly affected my second semester grades for junior year.

My dad is now in remission and I feel that there is nothing that can distract from my senior year grades. Currently I have all A’s in my senior year.
