Chance me for getting into Davis next year?

I’m a current junior, and I really want to go to Davis. I don’t know what major yet… I might select undeclared… or something chemistry related

Anyway, I assume most of you on here know more about Davis than I do, congrats to those who got in!!

I don’t have a lot of strong EC’s/job/work/etc. DO colleges care about these things a lot? Any of your input is appreciated - thank you!!

In my opinion, you have a pretty good shot for UC Davis. I had lower stats than you and I got accepted to animal science major. I think you may want to start thinking what you want to write for the essays since I feel that the essays played a huge part into helping me get accepted.

Also, your ECs are more than me. :stuck_out_tongue: but one thing I discover is that UCs seems to put a large emphasis on community service because on there application there was one section about community services related activities you did.

You’re in. Focus on the essays, as crabbie said; you don’t want to jeopardize your chances because they’re sub par.
