Chance Me for: GWU, Johns Hopkins, UNC CH, UCSB, NYU

First of all- I understand that JHU is a reach, but I think the environment that Johns Hopkins provides is incredible. Is it still worth it to apply?

Recommendations- 8/10 (close connection to both recommenders)

Essays- Although the topic is ordinary, I think I’ve managed to write about it in a compelling way (7/10)

First Place in a Short Story Competition (local- but still very competitive as there was a generous cash prize), Leadership Award, High Honors (x4- for maintaining a high GPA), Regional Violin Award (For scoring the top score for 7 years consecutively)

ECs-
President of Red Cross Club (4 years) , Captain of Tennis Team (3 years) , Senior Leader of MUN (4 years), Health Rep. of Operation Smile (2 years) , also interned in a selective summer program that involved research work, Volunteer at suicide prevention hotline

UCSB does not superscore the SAT so what is your highest score from a single sitting? Intended major? In need of financial aid?

SAT is really low. Working on getting that up and some good subject test scores.
