Chance Me For Harvard, Brown, and Johns Hopkins Please!

I’d like to know if anyone has any advice for me to increase my chances! I’m planning on taking the SAT and ACT both for a second time later this year. As of right now, I will only be sending my ACT score. I’ve heard most people increase their scores the second time though! Will it hurt me if I don’t send any SAT II scores? I haven’t taken any :/

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out! Any college suggestions are welcome too!

Intended major?

@onlythebest13 Biology or psychology most likely!

I would say high reach for harvard, low reach for Brown, and reach for Johns Hopkins. By the way, how do you have a weighted GPA higher than 5.0? Aren’t honors or AP classes weighted as 5.0?

@onlythebest13‌ At my school honors classes add .04 to a gpa and AP classes add .08 to a gpa. So my classes have added 1.08 pts of weight onto my 4.0 unweighted gpa.

Harvard: very high reach <5%
Brown: 20%
JHU: 50%

@jomagiles‌ I’m still confused. Assuming that you took all AP classes, 1.08 points/.08 AP = 13.5 classes. So you would have had to take at least 13 AP classes to get to 1.08 weighted points, and if you took a mixture of weighted and AP classes, you would have to take even more of these classes.

@onlythebest13‌ I have taken 6 AP classes, 2 AICE classes (AP weighting), 4 dual enrollment classes (honors weighting) and 7 honors classes. 8(0.08) + 11(0.04) = 1.08

What were your SAT scores? Have you taken any SAT II tests yet? What subjects and what were your scores?

You definitely have a chance at all three of those colleges.
