Harvard is a reach, Vandy and Rice are high matches. Make sure you apply to other schools.

Oh I also have three other safety schools

Why do you have an almost identical application as this user?;/a></p>

We are twins

Harvard: Decent chances
Vanderbilt, Rice: GREAT CHANCES

Low SAT for Harvard and weak EC’s. Harvard is definitely a reach. Rice is more attainable but still a reach. Vandy is a match.

Don’t ignore the hook!
3.99 GPA and 34 ACT

I say OP has decent chance of getting merit money from Rice and Vandy.

Her being a Hispanic female should not be a determining factor in the admissions process (i.e. - “the hook”). Her test scores are impressive and definitely good enough for Rice/Vandy, but she doesn’t have many or impressive EC’s.

Harvard - Reach
Rice - Low Reach/High Match
Vandy - Match

Yeah I agree with Ukneadmorebread. Being a Hispanic with a 34 ACT will be a huge boost (I’m a Hispanic with a 34 myself heh), but won’t be the single determining factor. Your ECs are great, but nothing unique or extraordinary. You have pretty decent chances at Harvard, but it’s still a mid-reach.

Also, what is your class rank/percentile? Great UW GPA, but it’s hard to know where you stand just based on that. Your chances will vary based on being top 1% vs top 5% for instance. I wouldn’t worry though, you have fantastic chances at Rice (High Match?) and Vanderbilt (Match) in my opinion.

My school doesn’t rank

Yeah I will chance anyone back

Thanks for all the response by the way. I really appreciate everyone’s feedback.
