Chance me for high ranked engineering colleges, I'll chance back!!

Hello, I’m a South Korean student who’s lived as a TCK (third culture kid) in Kyrgyzstan for 12 years. I’m currently a junior right now, and thinking of soon applying (next year). And I was starting to feel kinda edgy as I start to hit the reality of colleges… :frowning:
So I should probably just list the scores and things I’ve “achieved” till now.
Ok, something you should note before you start judging and comparing me to american high school student. I go to a small american school in Kyrgyzstan, so there arent that many opportunities whether school course-wise nor extra-curricular.

SAT: composite: 2310, superscore 2320. (Reading:760, Writing: 780, Math: 780)

SAT subjects: Math 2: 800. And going to take Physics, English, and maybe Chem

APs: AP Calculus AB (5), currently taking AP CS, and going to take AP Econ, AP Lit, and just the exam for AP Physics C.

College course: Taking Calculus 3 this year. Will probably take linear algebra or differential equations next year.

GPA: weighted: 4.45 (out of 4.33) I’m not sure about unweighted :stuck_out_tongue: sorry hehe

Extra-curricular:

 • vocalist for band (three years)
 • varsity basketball captain
 • soccer club
 • cello for 5 years
 • Student Council
 • Founder of the Math Tutoring System in our school

Volunteering: (+100hrs)

 • English Club for russian children
 • Volunteer work at russian disabled children orphanage
 • worship team
 • mission trips (2 weeks each year) to help teach local people English
 • volunteer work at immigrant school in south korea
 • private math tutoring

This is all the “stats” i guess. :stuck_out_tongue:
I know it’s not much compared to everyone else who’s trying to get to the ivies or something, but you know, you adapt to your environment. Also I’m still a junior, so I plan to do more things to do with engineering till next year.

So what would be my chances to get into:
Georgia Tech,
Caltech,
MIT,
Cornell,
Carnegie Melon,
Berkeley,
UIUC,
Michigan,
Stanford.

P.S. I would be looking for financial aid :P

Please do TRY to leave constructive advice hehe
THank you!

I. think they are all reaches.

They are all reaches besides Michigan being a low-reach. Please get me back.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1574931-chance-me-osu-please-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

They are not all reaches

I would say UIUC is a safety

Georgia Tech, Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, and Berkeley are matches

Caltech, MIT, Cornell, and Stanford are reaches for anyone

The only thing I would recommend improving are your extracurriculas. You have a lot, but they seem generic in my opinion. Have atleast one extra curricular that is unique and will differentiate you from everyone else applying to those top tier schools. Write a book, start a charity etc. All of these are ambitious, but doing something like that really makes you unique and puts you at an advantage.

Georgia Tech-low match
Caltech-reach
MIT-high reach
Cornell-low reach
Carnegie Melon-match
Berkeley-high match
UIUC-safety
Michigan-low match
Stanford-super high match

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1574644-please-chance-my-ed-ea-will-chance-back.html</a></p>
