Chance me for HPYMS + Stanford, Caltech, etc

Rising senior
Took most rigorous courses
3.64 UW GPA
32 ACT (will retake)
Strong ECs
760,730 on subject tests

I REALLY want to go to one of these universities in the title. I belong there literally. Can someone tell me my chances for them? Which one is easiest to get in ED? Does it help my chances to apply early?

I feel my GPA is a bit low. Is it?

You have literally 0 chance at these schools. Even lower ranked schools like Rice, Tufts, CMU, Rochester, and Case Western are reaches. AIM LOWER shdot

They are honestly all tough for ED. I would say Wash U for ED would be a good reach school.

Your GPA seems as if it’s a bit on the lower side, so your admission will depend on your ACT retake score and ECs. What major are you interested in pursuing? Is there a limit as to how much you can pay to attend a university? There are plenty of other top-notch universities you can apply to if you are not able to afford tuition.
Which subject tests did you take? If you could provide a few more details, your profile can be analyzed a bit easier.

I’m on the same boat as you man. My gpa is a bit low, and I really want to go to an elite college. However, if your ECs and essays are excellent, I think you definitley still have a chance! Would you mind chancing me as well? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1897884-chance-at-mit-with-a-low-gpa.html

All the schools you listed are either EA or REA schools not ED so there is no real boost in applying early. The admittance rates might be higher applying early but many of the early applicants are hooked (recruited athletes, legacy, URM etc) and in general the early applicant pool is much stronger than RD.

From what little you posted and the fact that you said in another thread you are an Asian male, your chances are not very good at these ultra-select schools. Unfortunately, you will be competing with scores of kids with much higher gpa’s and test scores - not to mention killer ECs. Not being in the top ten percent of your class will make getting into any of these schools extremely difficult as you will see if you google their Common Data Sets for 2015.

In any event, if you are still planning to apply to some of them, try to raise your test scores and write a coherent narrative about who you are and what you care deeply about. Your ECs should reflect this. More importantly, make sure you have a broad list of match and safety schools to go along with these uber reaches.

Good luck with everything!
