<p>Your GPA is excellent! Your SAT scores are too low, and unfortunately your EC lack any leadership positions which is important for Stanford and Ivies. You have a good shot at Vanderbilt though</p>
<p>Thank you very much! I would like to point out though that drum major is a very big leadership position in band. I’m not sure how much you know about band, but the drum major is basically the leader and conductor of the marching band. But you’re right, I do lack leadership positions in other activities.</p>
<p>Oh…yah I know nothing about band. If I had known that was your leadership position then I would say you have a better chance at Stanford and the Ivies. Sorry. GOOD LUCK!!</p>
<p>Depends which Ivies you’re applying to, but if you mean Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, all of them (along with Stanford) will be very high reaches. Your GPA’s fine but your SAT/ACT scores are on the low side, and though you have solid extracurriculars, they don’t stand out enough. Vanderbilt is also a reach (your SAT scores are slightly above their 25th percentile), but you still have a decent shot there if your essays and recommendations are stellar.</p>

<p>You got really nice ECs. Yeah drum major is like the highest position in band as far as I know so thats pretty good. You probably could get Vandy and maybe the lower ivies like Brown, Dartmouth, and Cornell. It also depends on what you are trying to major in. How were essays and teacher recs? Chance back?</p>
<p>Excellent GPA. Decent SAT but kinda low for Ivies (i know people with 1900’s or even lower get admitted though). ECs are ok (they show dedication). I would say reaches. Chance back please :)</p>
