Your number are great! Your GPA and your class rank is incredible, as are your standardized test scores! The only advice I would offer up on the statistics/numbers front is getting those Subject tests up a bit if you REALLY want to be competitive, but honestly you’re incredibly competitive as it already is.
Now, I’m going to be blunt, your extracurriculars are weak, especially for schools like Wash U and Vanderbilt, who really pay just as much attention to your extracurriculars as they do your GPA and SAT scores. The reason I say that is because these schools want leadership. While a state championship qualifying is great, it would be just as good if not better if you hadn’t qualified, but were a team captain instead. Like I said, with schools of this caliber, extracurriculars are just as important as anything else, and you are lacking there. However, this is not to say you don’t have a chance. With numbers like yours, honestly all of these schools are a real possibility for you, and I wish all the best. Good luck, and try to get into some leadership roles if you can!
Hi there! I agree that your ecs coud be stronger, but your grades and courseload look pretty solid. Are you part of any clubs or is that all of you ecs? Wish you the best of luck!
I was also one of the founding members of a small indoor games club and a member of NHS.
My friends and I also started a project a year ago to help collect soccer equipment which me donated to schools in south america.
Thanks for all the input.
I agree with what was said. The club and nonprofit that you started could be beneficial, depending on how successful they were. Not sure how much they will help - but it wont hurt. As for NHS, at schools like WashU and Vanderbilt that isnt that great of an extracirricular. Just my 2 cents
