Explanation for Rec Letters:**
My #1 science teacher only sent out the rec letters to Stanford, USC, Pomona and then she had to take a maternity leave so she couldn’t do the rest of the colleges i wanted. Because GWU and Pitzer required a science teacher rec letter, I had to ask my physics teacher who i barely started learning from my senior year. his rec letter sucks and i put in the additional information section in the common app of the reason why i had to ask my physics teacher for my rec letter and why he gave me such a bad rec letter</p>

<p>Oh and this is the bad rec letter:</p>

<p>(David is a good student. Works well with others. Currently getting a 94% in my Honors Physics Class)</p>

<p>Thats all he wrote -_- and marked me as Good when all my other teachers marked me as Outstanding in the Section on the second page on the common app teacher rec form</p>

<p>I’m sorry for your terrible recommendation letters.
That aside, I think your GPAs and Course Load are both really good.</p>

<li>Stanford- Difficult Reach</li>

<p>I gave you a harder time because you are applying for Joint Medical Programs, so that is significantly more difficult than Regular Decisions. Your Standarized test scores aren’t exactly competitive for high caliber programs, and your biology is also O.K. for the colleges you’ve chosen.</p>

<p>Just note that your ORM isn’t going to help, and you probably need a really good essay to pull you through on some colleges.
ECs look good, but not stellar.
Stanford would be a pretty high reach for you, because you have no major hooks and your SAT is pretty much on the lower end of their applicants.</p>

<p>The only program I am familiar with is GW’s and it is very very competitive- much more so than the college as a whole. Out of 700 applicants, they accept about 20, or about 3%.</p>

<p>There’s a big difference in difficulty of getting into GWU and getting into their combined med program. I think you’d be a match for Pitzer and GWU, but those combined programs are high reaches for everyone. USC and Pomona are reasonable reaches and Stanford is a crapshoot for everyone. I hope you have a couple low matches or safeties in mind, just in case?</p>

<p>GWU undergrad is a match for you, but the BA/MD program has many applicants for very few spots.</p>

<p>i not so sure. ur grades arent stellar, but i dont know much about those college programs. yeah being another azn, i feel ur pain. btw, sry about that rec from teh physics teacher, but its hilarious bc i had a physics teacher that wrote a crap recommendation too for a full-ride program at a college, so i feel ur paid :/</p>

<p>I don’t think anyone can really call the top 3 UC’s safeties… I think you’ve got some good picks for the top of your list, but just to prevent disappointment, you need to round out the bottom a bit. :)</p>

<p>Pitzer - IN! i don’t know about their medical program but i’m sure that it’ll be fairly easy for you to get in with your scores. btw i doubt theyll even consider your sat scores since your gpa is pretty good.

Pomona - reach (they’re pretentious liberals. did you do your interivew yet?)
