So basically I’m looking for a school where I can focus probably primarily on my writing, but somewhere where I can still make progress in music. Not looking to be a music major. My writing is my strongest asset, and I’m good at communicating so I think interviews would be good for me to do. I do wish my GPA was higher.

Right now, my choices are:

Oberlin
Bard
Emerson
Sarah Lawrence
Bennington
Wesleyan (reach)
Hampshire
Ithaca

I plan on doing EA as much as I can.

Does anyone with experience have any advice?

Consider adding Skidmore.

If writing is your strongest asset, you may want to see if any of those schools offer an additional supplement where you can show your talents in writing or music. Also if going to a school with a strong emphasis on writing interests you, I recommend looking into Hamilton College

I think you’ve got a pretty good shot at all but Wesleyan. Wes might be a good ED choice if that’s what you want.

might look at a school like Holy Cross.
