<p>School Attended: Extremely small private school with 57 people in graduating class
Unweighted GPA: 4.079
Weighted GPA: 3.7/3.8
AP Classes: AP Psychology (5), AP World History (3), AP US History (3), AP English Language (3), AP Gov’t (In Progress), AP English Literature (In Progress)
Rigor of Classes: I’ve taken every AP class offered at my school besides choosing between either AP Stats or AP Calculus.
Prospective major: Political Science</p>

<p>SAT Scores: 1790 - 570 Reading, 620 Math, 600 Writing
SAT Subject Tests: Registered for US History, World History, and Math II for December.
ACT Scores: Should be coming in any day. It’s probably 24-29.</p>

<p>Volunteering: 26 hours at a public library, approximately 320 hours on a political campaign (the campaign has recognized me as a campaign fellow, as opposed to a volunteer; it is one level higher than an internship), 5 hours on a political campaign to register voters and get them to vote,</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars: I started my school’s Chess Club, I have had a job at Sears for a couple of months now, I am a member of the Junior States of America, I am a lead Prosecution Attorney on my school’s Mock Trial team.</p>

<p>Letters of Recommendation: My principal will write an exceptional one, I am waiting on the politician I volunteered for (who was elected three days ago) to write a letter of recommendation for me, and my counselor loves me so she’ll write a great one too.</p>

<p>Personal Statement/Essay: I believe both my personal statement and my essay are really really good.</p>

<p>Awards/Honors: I am a member of the National Honor Society, I am an AP Scholar with Honor, I have received Principal’s Honor Roll every single year, I got third place in my school’s science fair during junior year, I have also received several awards for excelling in a foreign language class.</p>

<p>Misc. Information: I received the Eligibility in Local Context Paper from the UC system, guaranteeing admission into one UC school of their choice. I will appear as a distinguished applicant on my UC application.</p>

<p>I am a male Caucasian of Armenian descent. I will be the first person in my family to attend college. </p>

<p>I agree with the above poster. Your SAT is extremely low for Ivies and many UCs. If you’re in-state (CA), that would help. Otherwise, definitely add some safety schools. I don’t think you’ll be able to retake your SAT in January for most of those schools, but if you can, you definitely should.</p>

<p>I live in California so that will be a plus. And yeah, I HATE my SAT score. Sometimes I feel as though that’s the only thing keeping my application from looking really good. Most of these schools will not accept the January SAT but I know for a fact that Harvard does. I’ve been investing A LOT of time studying for the January SAT. It’s a bit late but its worth a shot.</p>
