I applied to UIUC for the class of 2020 for mechanical engineering. This is my first choice school and I am worried that I won’t get in. Here are my stats:
27 ACT composite: 24 reading, 26 science, 27 math, 27 english, 8 on the writing section

I was on my school’s math team and scholastic bowl team. I was president of anime and movie club, and vice-president of computer club. I also participated in the Interact Club at my school. I took all the AP’s that my school offers. I am also applying to UIC, Illinois Institute of Technology, Northern Illinois University, Bradley University, Marquette University, Syracuse University, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Worcester Polytechnical Institute.
I’m not sure how the in-state factor works, but I have read on the UIUC website that the median ACT for COE is 31-34, and honestly, I think your math score, which is the most important for engineering, may be too low. Your other info sounds good, though.
