I love calculus and music and I am planning on majoring in Biological Engineering. My high school isn’t very well known for their academics, nobody has gone to MIT in many, many years. However, MIT is a dream school that I’ve always wanted to go to!

You have a slim shot my friend. Your SAT scores are not high enough. Start looking for more reasonable choices.

Have you considered taking the ACT ? You may get a stronger score than on your SAT.

I’ve taken the ACT once and it wasn’t any different.

What would you consider “more reasonable choices”?

I agree with the above posters; your SAT CR and W are too low. Did you prepare much?

I’ve always spent my time working on other things in school and not as much reading those SAT books.

work on the SAT. You’d have a chance with a good SAT.

You really really need to get that SAT score up if you want to have a good shot at MIT.

Maybe it is time to start read SAT books? You will vastly improve your chances with a score above 2000
