Don’t try to convert your grades to a GPA. What are your marks? There are experienced posters here like @MYOS1634 who can judge your academic strength.

You said high income, so I assume that means your family can comfortably afford $80k per year for 4 years without requiring financial aid. Correct?

And you are aware that you will most likely need to return to your home country after graduation?

While the UC schools will run about $80k/year, it should be noted that the rest of the college list will be in the $50-60k/year range. But yes, please make sure your family can afford the schools on your list. Scholarships for internationals will be hard to get.

Welcome to College confidential.

As you are aware the UC’s are test blind so your SAT score will only be considered for course placement and not for admissions or scholarships.

If your HS curriculum does not calculate a GPA, then you are not expected to convert.

Below is some statistical data for the UC’s.

Economics admit rates:
UC Berkeley: College of L&S does not admit by major, Economics has been competitive so under 10%

UCLA: Economics 11% College of L&S does not admit by major

UCSD: Estimated <25% Economics

UCSB: Economics 32% College of L&S does not admit by major

Campus UC Capped weighted 25th-75th percentile for admitted freshman Overall Acceptance Rates/International Acceptance rates
UC Berkeley 4.15-4.29 11%/ 3%
UC Davis 4.00-4.26 42.1%/ 51%
UC Irvine 4.04-4.27 28.8%/ 43%
UCLA 4.20-4.30 9%/ 6%
UC Merced 3.41-4.04 91.7%/ 81%
UC Riverside 3.66-4.15 76.4%/ 85%
UC San Diego 4.10-4.28 26.8%/ 23%
UC Santa Barbara 4.13-4.29 32.9%/ 30%
UC Santa Cruz 3.87-4.22 65%/ 81%

Good luck.

I am aware of all that and my parents are able to afford it. I plan to complete the stem certified major and then take on 24 months(optional) of work allowance.

yes they can afford it and I am aware. Thanks!

I would also really prefer if someone reviews and rates my personal statement!

Can you use the chance me/match me template provided? You will get more focused responses that way.

You need better tiers for your list - right now all are reaches (including some low reaches) due to acceptance rates or because of your major, except for a handful.

Is there a reason why you chose only public flagships?

Are you in CBSE, iGCSE+ALevels, or IB?

well I have an experienced counsellor who made this list for me.

You shouldn’t be relying on your school counselor to make your college list. What do you want in a school? If you are full pay and aren’t reliant on financial aid, there are literally thousands of schools in the U.S. that could be a good fit for you. Your list just looks like a collection of very large public schools.

What did you get for iGCSEs and what are your predicted scores for ALevels?

Are you applying to Honors Colleges?
What do you want in a school? Are the colleges on the list indicative of your preferences - large, public, American football?

As an aspect to consider as your decisions arrive, the economics faculty at UCSD appears to be among the most accomplished in the nation. This analysis will allow you to compare all of your potential choices by faculty scholarship: Economics rankings: US Economics Departments | IDEAS/RePEc.
