Oh, and I'd like to add that the lowest grade on my transcript is a B.

I really hope that you pushed yourself to be this qualified for college, and not your parents.

Also, why did you take so many SATIIs?

My parents actually tried to dissuade me from working so hard, so yes, everything that I have achieved is a result of my self-motivation.

I wanted to show colleges my ability in various subjects.

I would guess that you would be accepted by UVA and rejected by the rest. GPA looks too low.

I think you could probably get into UVA, Middlebury and probably Dartmouth, but the GPA is too low for Yale. And 7 APs in four years may not be enough, unless that is the most your school offers. Make sure you write a very interesting essay that doesn't regurgitate this resum

I would say Midd is a reach but doable as is UVA, but D and Y are very high reaches.

Ninahalty: Yes, I've taken more APs than most students at my school. I was offered no APs in my freshman and sophomore years and the recommended maximum is 3 in one year.

Great, thanks for your replies. I wasn't expecting Yale to be in my cards anyway...

Just wondering, is my only weakness my GPA?

Rank is the most important factor in admissions. At Dartmouth for example, over 40% of admits were top 2 in their high school class. This is the majority of the unhooked. The 33 would be an acceptable score if everything else was stellar, but with a below top rank and coming from the NE, it won't help.

Okay. So, would you recommend that I work on raising my ACT score?

Also, would you recommend applying RD to my reach schools so that they can see my 1st semester senior year grades?

Oh, and I didn't mention that my school is #60/100 on the feeder list.

My rank is UW - Does this matter? I mean, if it was weighted, my rank would be much higher.

Most likely acceptance at UVA and Middlebury.

Thank you for your opinion, rOadTo3b.

Anyone else?

An additional piece of info: My intended major is environmental studies.

A higher ACT will help tip you into Midd and UVA, the ivies will remain tough with any score due to rank.

Okay, thank you!

What the heck, people?!
She wrote an AWARD-WINNING book!
Brainsparkle, you will get into Yale.
And no, 4.0-2400-obsessed nerd, you will NOT get into Yale.
