What do you think???

i wish you luck with getting into Newhouse but I was just wondering why you don’t want to do VPA? You seem like you really love the theater and acting.

You are in. No problem

Well, I do love theatre but I don’t think I’ll pursue it. Idk, I feel like I need a career thats a bit more…structured.

Shesthesummer, I did some research and it looks like you and I both want to do magazine journalism. What types of magazines? If you dont mind me asking?

Oh it’s fine =) I want to do fashion magazines, and you?
I think you have a good shot btw we have the same math/reading on the SAT, and I got in.

I think you will get in for SURE. Your SAT score is pretty amazing to me…;). And your extra curricular/volunteering experience will give you the edge. I am sure your essay will be or is amazing. =) Good luck!

Yay! Thanks guys :)

I want to work in fashion mags as well. I know it’s really competive, but I really would love to work either GQ or Nylon.

GQ’s pretty amazing. I love the cleans lines, and the witty articles.

Nylon is my “personality” magazine. All the artwork, and style…it’s just a really unique mag. I love it.

Oh that’s funny Nylon is my goal too. It’s really my top magazine to write/style for but I love Teen Vogue and W as well.

Hehe…I smell competition Shesthesummer. haha jk…sort of (lol)
haha

Teen vogue is really amazing, but I’ve always felt W is a little elitist. Then again, I’ve never really read the mag b4. I’ve given it a cursory glance. Vogue’s kinda like that too actually. Teen Vogue is a really interesting magazine, and I think it’s be really awesome to work with them. Good luck w that!

Are you interested in writing, or are you more into the art side of it? I wish I could do both. I really want to do the creative directing thing though.

I take that back, all mags are a bit elitist…
