So as a Louisiana resident I’m pretty much looking at Tulane right now since it’s a highly ranked school and I have automatic acceptance through FOCUS Louisiana. But I’m wondering if I should hold my breath for higher ranked schools like Northwestern, Rice, and Columbia

APs: English Lang: 5, Spanish Lang: 5, APES: 5, Calc AB: 5
National Merit Commended
Senior Year Course Load: AP Stats, AP English Lit, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Calc BC, AP World History, Talented Theatre IV (my acting class), Talented Theatre I (the class I direct in)
I took all honors core courses freshman and sophomore year and 4 APs and 2 Honors Junior Year
Varsity cross country team captain, varsity tennis team captain, varsity track runner at a 5A school
Leadership: Environmental Club President with awards for multiple competitions, including Louisiana State Envirothon. Mock Trial Team Captain (Regional Best Attorney 2013, State Best Attorney 2015, State Finalist 2015). Law Club president.
Volunteer: Interact Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Tutor. About 75 hours right now.
I’m also really big into theatre, I’ve had 6 lead roles in main stage performances so far, as well as leadership positions as assistant directors in shows. I also have awards from my acting.
Demographic: African-American male from Louisiana
Ok I think that’s about it. It’s totally fine to be honest, like I said I’ll probably end up at Tulane anyways. Thanks!
