Chance me for NYU LSP

It has always been my dream to live in New York and I’m hoping I get into NYU.

My stats are:

3.8/4.0 weighted

SAT: 1540 (Yes, I know it’s horrible :frowning: )

EC:
President of Computer club (3 years)
President of Mandarin club (2 years)
President of Academic Decathlon(2 years)
Class president/ member of the school site council (3 years)
Member of Robotics club (4 years)
Math/ science bridge summer program 2013
Studied abroad in Beijing summer 2012
Summer job (4 years)
Volunteered at Japanese retirement home (100+ hours)
Volunteered at pet shelter (150+ hours)

My personal statement is a compelling essay about when I told my parents that I was homosexual.

Supplement talks about why I want to be in LSP and travel abroad( because I love to travel and learn about different cultures and learn different languages) and the major that interested me, Language and Mind (I gave a story about how I an diagnosed with OCD which led me into learning cognitive disorders and how I want to go into researching Artificial Intelligence)

Would being a gay, low-income first generation Latino being the first to go to college help?

I feel like my test scores are going to get me rejected, but I’ve also heard that LSP gets students who are “missing” something, such as having low test scores.

I hope I get in :(

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

bumpppppppppp

Bump. I’ll chance back.

NYU LSP - Out Of Reach…

Your SAT score is WAYY too low that your URM status is not even going to help…

Do you need substantial amount of financial aid? If so, NYU is not a good choice for you.
