Interested in finance, and hope to work in Wall Street in the future. I like Stern a lot, but it’s very expensive, and I don’t know how much aid I can get.

Would gladly appreciate any help.

Hey! I think you’re pretty qualified for Stern. Yet I’m uncertain as well about your chances of receiving FA, since NYU doesn’t give out much.

If worried about aid I wouldn’t apply ED. It’s a trade-off though because RD has single digit acceptance rates.

Your stats look great but have seen many people with stats like yours rejected. You look like you would be a great fit at Stern though.

I think you’re good to go for Stern! I agree on the RD/ED2 thing the others have said, though

Question - Based on my family’s low income, if NYU was to accept me through the ED2 process, wouldn’t it have to offer me a lot of financial aid? Otherwise, it seems as I would be able to get out of the agreement. At the current time, I’m considering RDing stern along with other schools like Cornell Dyson, Upenn Wharton, CMU Tepper, etc.

You can back out of ED if you have a significant financial barrier, but the burden of proof is on you. The reason why you don’t want to apply ED is your decision will come out before all your RDs, and you won’t be able to compare financial aid packages and bargain with schools.
